29th Hot Wheels Convention

29thConlogo-whiteThe 29th Convention was one of the best Conventions attended. It is always fun to meet the first timers and to enjoy the times to get together with the seasoned convention goes.

Over 350 rooms booked with about 250 rooms open at some time or another for room to room trading and selling.

There are many things to do Downhill and Sizzlers racing, Button Bingo Convention Mania and Texas Hold’em. For the children there the coloring contest, scavenger hunt and more.  The convention dinner with the guest of honor Rob Mathis have over 300 dinners sold.  The dinner is one of the best values of the convention. For $125 you get a great dinner, a limited sticker dinner car, a t-shirt, a collector pin, a special painted code 3 dinner car, raffles, and the ability to buy extra dinner cars. It is always a fun get together with other convention friends.

This was a great group of Convention souvenir cars. The ’71 Datsun Bluebird 510 Wagon (LE2400), Volkswagen Kool Kombi (LE2000), and the ’70 Dodge Power Wagon (LE2000). ALL SOLD OUT! The dinner car a’68 Mercury Cougar (LE1500) was also well received and non-sticker extras sold briskly after the event. The charity car was a 2010 Mustang in Spectraflame pink and packed in an acrylic case. The Mustang was done by Chris Walker aka “Night Stalker”. This piece was also SOLD OUT PRIOR to the end of the event and all 550 pieces went into the hands of the collectors.29th Convention Charity Mustang

The Sunday Toy show had over 60 tables just dedicated to Hot Wheels. Where almost anything Hot Wheels is available.
