G case pick of the mix Sorry it’s a little late, were getting organized for the upcoming nationals collectors convention. With that said, this is our pick of the mix.The G case assortment was not very impressive. There were a very few new releases and filled with quite a few repaints. #5 Ryura LX – Love this concept piece from the design team. One of the better pieces to come out lately. The metal flake red pops on this car. #18 Custom ’12 Ford Mustang –  Not a fan of soccer but the bright red paint, fan5 wheels and the black, white, and gold stars and stripes work for us. #39 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento – Satin gray red interior and gray fan5 wheels make this Need for Speed model is smoking hot. #167 Altered Ego – After seeing the pearl purple hanging on the shelves for so long around here ...

Just in time for Easter! The latest Pop Culture line is from Just Born Quality Confections I found three of my favorite candies made into Hot Wheels® cars; Peeps, Mike and Ike, and Hot Tamales. There are six great castings and some amazing card art that will catch your eye. In fact I stop and look at them every time I pass by my display. It’s just an observation but I believe the most popular piece will be the red hot Hot Tamales Long Gone followed by the second release of the  ’85 Chevy Astro Van.  Take a look at all the Just Born Hot Wheels® on the loose.

#105 Fast Bed Hauler – This new model has the classic 30’s-style single-ton flatbed customized with duel V-8 engines.  With the pull out bed (tough to do the first time) it can only hold smaller cars.  #124 Mad Propz – In candy blue and bright green this sport class air racer looks as if you would see the in the skies of your regional airport. The Mad Props also fit nicely on the Fast Bed Hauler. #155 RRRoadster – A concept roadster with British styling looks like it could be a real car that would burn up the road course. It almost looks as if it could be the roadster version of the Fast FeLion. #208 ’64 Lincoln Continental – Light blue works on the model and with the blue and pink graphics gives off the low-rider look. Sneak Peek 2 -The Ghostbuster Ecto-1  If you really want to have a good time collecting Hot Wheels® and want this souvenir piece make plans to come to the Nationals in Oak Brook IL.  This was created for the eighties blockbuster film “Ghostbusters” and Manson Cheung designed the Hot Wheels® version in 2010. This events version is a green slime covering zamac car with white wall real rider tires, The Ghostbusters logo on the side and back door and the Nationals logo on the hood. HWC Van created this fun deco for the Nationals. This is limited to 2600 pieces total and will be available only at the Nationals in Oak Brook, IL beginning on Tuesday April 1, 2014. The first time a release of a Simpson vehicle was in 1990 with the Combat Medic Scene Machine and Baja Breaker Scene Machine. Both the Combat Medic and Baja Breaker comes with 3 different wheel colors and each one has a different scene.  Almost 24 years later we have the latest release from Mattel. The Simpsons’ The Homer this makes a great addition to the previous two models.

Check it out the first sneak peek for the 14th Annual Hot Wheels® Collectors Nationals ’70 Dodge HEMI Challenger – race team deco, originally designed by Phil Riehlman in 2006. Steve Vandervate did the deco for this awesome piece along with the Nationals logo. This is limited to 2000 pieces total and will be available at the Nationals in Oak Brook, IL beginning on Tuesday April 1, 2014. Hope to see you all there.

Pick of the Mix “E” #42 ’10 Camaro SS police car – making this concept Camaro into and police/fire model is one of the best design changes. The yellow HWFD design heading to a fire will burn up the street. #111 Team Hot Wheels® Corkscrew Buggy – In it’s fifth release, we can see this orange version flying high over sand dunes in the dessert. #170 ’68 Mercury Cougar – This new model of a Trans-Am styled race car with flared fenders, hood scoop and spoiler was made for the track. 234 ’69 Dodge Daytona – This one screams heavy metal with it black stripes and muscle car 5 spoke wheels we personal think this is one of the best Zamac in this series of cars so far. #235 ’69 Ford Torino Talladega – This model in metalflake red with the yellow and white stripe design on this car and ...
