Just posted new 5-packs, multi-pack only cars, Pop Cultue and Flying Customs. Take a look. After a long drought here in the Midwest we are now seeing new product on the shelves here at Walmart. Trackin’ Trucks, new Jukebox with Sam Walton Ford F-150, mutli-pack exclusives, new 5-pack and K case dump bins. The most startling thing is the lack of super and regular hunts in these cases. Could it be the black market and eBay are making it harder to find these in the wild at stores. Over 40 cases opened by friends in the area and a total of 3 bent card supers found. Just picked up the latest in the series of Walmart exclusives thatr are now in the “J” case dump bins and side-kicks. A nice selection in this collector series with the exception of being all Chevy (sorry Ford lovers). Just getting back from another wonderful time at the Nationals. This one has to be one of the best ones I attended in the last 5 years. Attendance was up with a lot of collectors old and new, the hotel was good and compact, the Staff was well organized and friendly as ever,  and events I attended were a blast. I truly enjoyed the downhill races and Sizzler races most of all.  Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was the charity for this years nationals and the representatives  were beyond friendly. Packing up and getting ready to leave for the 13th Annual Hot Wheels® Collectors Nationals in a couple of days. I can’t wait to see some old friends and meet some of the new subscribers to the Hot Wheels® Newsletter. Make sure you stop by the souvenir sales room to say hi and to pick up your Newsletter souvenir car for being a subscriber and a participant at the Nationals. This year’s model is theme related and should be a nice addition to the newsletter Convention and National pieces. Have a safe trip and I will see you there.

Two long time classic collectables came together and produced Hot Wheels Pez Pull & Go dispensers. As a was checking out at my local TRU this evening. I spotted these hanging by the register. There were only two models available a green Twinduction and a blue Fast Fish. The cars attach to the top of a wheel of the dispenser for storage then can be removed to play with. These cars with Pull Back Action are about 1:87 scale and are decorated with both Hot Wheels and PEZ logos and other designs. Ahh we can only wish for other models… Boneshaker anyone? 

Well summers coming and Hot Wheels® has turned up the heat and served us some cool Hot Wheels® classics. This is the Kroger exclusive 5-car Sunburnerz collection with sizzling summer decos. ’65 Impala in red with gold y5 ’67 GTO convertible in pearl white with pr5 Deuce Roadster in red with gold sp5 ’56 Merc in mf gold with gold lw ’67 Chevelle in candy blue with sp5    

Just when shopping for some items and thought I would check the Hot Wheels® isle expecting nothing and was surprised to find a new case of multi-pack on a all ready loaded shelve of old multi-packs. To my excitement one of the 6 new packs was the exclusive pearl white ’66 Ford Fairlane GT and a new color of the Pass’n Gasser. Even though the Pass’n Gasser sports the same tampo as the exclusive for 2012 minus the rear deck Hot Wheels® logo it isn’t an Git pack exclusive but is a multi-pack only model and will not be a single pack release. This will surely excite the Pass’n Gasser fans. Check all the  new gift-pack excluisves and multi-pack only cars for 2013.

You may wonder where the inspirations come from when a designer deco a car. On the Flash Gordon Volkswagen T-1 Drag Bus, it was from a 50s style tin toy. I found the new Attack Pack 5-pack in the Easter train at Walmart. This one includes another release of the Bad Mudder 2, and A favorite of mine the Jack Hammer from the AcceleRacerS line. It also looks like the Motorblade has changed names to Blade Racer on the package even thought it still has Motorblade on the base of the car. Look for individual picture of each car in the 5-pack section. The following day I took a trip to Target and found the Track Aces 5-pack. Two five pack in two days. That hasn’t happened in a long time. In the Track Aces 5-pack it was good to see a couple of casting that have been rarely used. But the Off Track must be a favorite with someone at Mattel. This is the 15 time including variations that this model has come out.  

Now at Walmart are sidekicks and PDQs (dump bins) With the G case assortment, these include the next three Walmart exclusives. The ZAMAC model this round are the Nissan Skyline GT-R (34) with copper j5 (j5cp) wheels, ’66 Chevy Nava with white rim black pr5 (pr5bk/wh-rim), and the ’10 Camaro SS with black open 5 spoke with gold rim.
