Twelve new models were introduced and ten sported new colors or tampos. This was the first year all models were issued with basic black-wall tires (bw). A new blistercard featured seven different cloth patches with seven groups of vehicles: Super Streeters, Drag Strippers, Oldies But Goodies, Rescue Team, Classy Customs, Speedway Specials, and Heavies. The patches were only available by mail and are worth about ten dollars each.
