There were ninety-six total models. Twenty new models and almost fifty with new colors and/or  designs were introduced. A new line with synthetic rubber tires with “Goodyear” on the sides first sold as Real Riders. Another new series was Extras: models which could be modified with various extra parts in the package. All groups were issued in their own special blisterpacks. Mattel also reissued Hot Ones and Workhorses.
