1976
The “Flying Colors” line continued with several new additions. Two were semi-truck models, one a dump truck and the other a box-style cargo truck. These were painted red, white, and blue with white stars: a flag-style tampo in honor of our country’s 200th birthday. Also done in red, white, and blue was a race car, Formula 5000 with “76” in the tampo, and a street rod, Neet Streeter.
This year Super Chromes were introduced. This was a line of eighteen chrome models, twelve in individual blisterpacks and six which were only issued in a six-pack. There were also four more military vehicles. All were issued in both a blisterpack and a six-pack, except the Army Staff Car which only came in the six-pack.
